
Rooting a device pretty much allows you to install any app you want on it, and the Barnes & Noble NOOK is a common victim of this. Now some folks out there probably like ironic situations as they’ve decided to root a NOOKcolor and get Amazon’s Kindle reading app installed on it, ensuring that there will be plenty of unhappy faces at Barnes & Noble’s HQ this week. The rooting process in this hack also added Gmail, YouTube and some other Android goodies to the NOOKcolor. Would you get a NOOKcolor just to fiddle around with it like this?
