Kinect Sensor used to control a Veltrobot robotWe’ve seen Microsoft’s Kinect sensor hacked to do many things, and next up some smart person out there decided that it would be a good idea to control a robot using the sensor, and we’ve got a video (after the jump) to prove it. The robot here is dubbed the Veltrobot, a gyro-stabilized robot with a significant amount of limb freedom. The system works by mapping the Kinect output onto a skeletal frame with certain limitations, transmitting that information to the robot, which seems to work out pretty well.
