Slim hardware is always an attractive idea and LG has just unveiled its new E90 monitor, touted as the company’s slimmest LED monitor to date, measuring in at just 7.2mm in depth. LG also claims that the E90 is the best choice for watching action movies or sporting matches due to its 2ms response time and also LG’s Image Booster software, which claims to enhance streaming content from video sites such as YouTube. LG has placed the power supply and socket connecting the monitor with the PC at the back of the stand, dubbed EZ-cabling. In terms of going green, the E90 manages to reduce energy consumption by as much as 40 percent than conventional CCFL-backlit LED monitors and also reduce the use hazardous materials such as halogen and mercury in its manufacturing. The E90 will be on display at the 2011 CES Innovations Awards and sales for this monitor will begin this month in select markets.
