[CES 2011] According to the latest report from Korea Times, LG looks to make a splash at next year’s Consumer Electronics Show. In addition to the unveiling of their dual-core Android phone, the Optimus 2X and mobile 3D TVs, the Korean electronics manufacturer will also be taking the stage with their very first Android tablet. Previously rumored to be called the Optimus Pad, the tablet will feature an 8.9″ touchscreen display and will run on Android 3.0 or better known as Honeycomb. With a tablet that’s in between the iPad’s 10″ display and the Galaxy Tab’s 7″ display – I wonder if their 8.9″ is the magical size that will set the device apart from the competition. Stay tuned as we bring you the details next week.
