LG LW6500 to show passive 3D TV at CES[CES 2011] LG is set to show the LG LW6500 passive 3D television. Unfortunately, passive 3D still requires glasses that will make you goofy, although inside your home, it’s probably OK. However, passive glasses are less expensive to buy (than active ones) and their compatibility level is much higher than active-glasses. Of course, in 3D, that’s still a far cry from Toshiba’s Regza GL1 as we saw it in Tokyo recently. However, it’s fair to say that the LG LW6500 should be a better… 2D TV than the GL1. Oh well, you can’t have it all. You will get more specifications as we get closer to CES. Right now, LG (and other brands) are simply trying to make some noise to make sure that their booth will have plenty of visits.LG LW6500 to show passive 3D TV at CES
