Motorola has announced the acquisition of Zecter, a company best known for its ZumoDrive service, a cloud-based file storage and sync product that is similar to Dropbox. The service’s ability to store and stream media files on demand will be something that Motorola will be particularly interested in, since the company will be looking to integrate Zecter’s technology with its MotoBLUR interface. Will an easy way to access content and media from the phone give Motorola the edge against its competitors out there?
