A US trage agency is currently thinking over whether the Microsoft Xbox 360 console should be slapped with a blanket ban from entering US shores after Motorola claimed that Microsoft’s hardware had infringed on its patents. The complaint filed last month by Motorola Mobility is currently undergoing investigation, and analysts speculate that this is payback for Microsoft as the big M filed a lawsuit on November 9 accusing Motorola of breaching contractual obligations to fairly license patents on wireless networking and video coding to be used in the Xbox. Normally, the entire proceeding of the investigation would take around 15 months, but more often than not, both parties would have sorted things out between them by then. We can’t wait for the outcome of such a tussle between two giants – which do you think will emerge the victor?
