OnLive For iPad Enables Video Game Spectating, Android Version To Follow

OnLive has just announced the immediate availability of a new application called the OnLive Viewer for Apple’s iPad. The software is free and allows users to spectate games being played on the service, though it doesn’t allow iPad users to play the games just yet. The company stresses that it’s just a taste of what’s to come, since most games aren’t optimized for touch controls just yet, though full game capabilities will be supported in the future. The fun isn’t going to be limited to the iPad as OnLive is already working on a version for Android devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab, though that project is still in beta.
