Panasonic VIERA TH-L42G3 HDTV Records HD Shows to SDXC Memory Card

The Panasonic VIERA TH L42G3 is a 42-inch HDTV set that has an IPS LED-backlit full HD display with an SDXC memory card reader. The cool part about the memory card slot on this television set is that it will allow you to record your HD television shows to the card, for playback later; other sets only allow you to view contents from a memory card onto your TV and not record. SDXC cards will support up to 64 GB in capacity, which is rated for up to 5 hours of full HD content. Additionally, you can also plug in an external hard drive into the supported USB port to record more content if need be. The downside, however, is that what’s recorded is only viewable on the VIERA set, meaning you can’t take along your SDXC card with you and watch it on a phone or laptop, unfortunately. There’s also an Ethernet port, two HDMI ports, VIERA LINK, and DLNA support. The TH-L42G3 will arrive in Japan on January 18 for $1,800.
