You might have heard of the Project LovePlus game before, a dating simulator that is quite popular over in Japan. We also know that the upcoming Nintendo 3DS features front- and rear-facing cameras. Now the game will be making use of the front-facing camera to implement a “boyfriend lock” feature. According to reports, when someone else picks up your Project LovePlus game, your girl won’t recognize them and will say things like “Who are you?” It’s apparently designed to help players feel closer to their virtual girlfriends. It’s a rather strange and slightly disturbing scenario, but then again, technology does strange things to people.
