SRS Labs has announced that that Samsung Continuum is the first phone to use its new audio solution for smartphones, dubbed SRS WideSurround. According to the company, the new technology claims to solve the issue of smartphones that are traditionally plagued with limited sound stage, zero surround effects and little channel separation or stereo output. The solution is touted to provide users with an expansive personal surround field so that no matter if the user is holding the device in their hand or propping it on the table, the overall audio experience is better. You might remember that the Samsung Continuum Galaxy S is available on Verizon for $199.99 on contract, in case you want to give this solution a test drive.
