Sprints Sanyo Taho ready to rock and roll

The Sanyo Taho sounds tough by its name alone, and you won’t be penalized from thinking so. This new phone that will be made available via Sprint is actually a ruggedized handset which is more than capable of withstanding some of the harshest elements as well as 30 minutes of full immersion in water up to a meter deep. Of course, the $99.99 price point is reflected after a $50 mail-in rebate and agreeing to a new 2-year contract, where you can place and order from next January onwards. Complying with military standard 810G translates to it standing up to dust, shock, vibration, extreme temperatures, blowing rain and water immersion. Other specifications include Sprint Navigation and Sprint Family Locator, a robust front-ported speaker phone and a 2-megapixel camera with flash and camcorder. The Taho does shape up to be a decent phone outdoorsmen won’t mind to have, but standard folks like you and I would probably prefer to have something more elegant albeit infinitely more breakable.
