Toshiba’s Folio 100 Android-powered tablet has had its share of woes; such as responsiveness and multimedia processing issues that saw UK retailers pull it from shelves. Now Toshiba has released a firmware update that should help solve the performance issues. Aside from that, the 2.2.5.0053 firmware introduces a pinch-to-zoom multi-touch feature. One thing that is missing from the update is Flash Player 10.1, which is already available but needs to be installed separately and manually. The bad news is that reports are still going around that folks who have installed the update noticed the device still goes into deep sleep mode without permission and requires a reboot to make it work again. Perhaps another update is on the way?
