If you’re interested in rare items from computing history and happen to have a lot of money, you might be interested to know that a transparent Mac SE was put up for auction recently on eBay with a starting bid of $25,000. The machine was originally meant for internal use only and was created with a transparent body so that designers could see component placement inside the finished product. Apparently only 10 such computers are known to still exist, but nobody placed any bids on this item. Did the $25,000 price tag scare folks away?
