Nevertheless, we are not going to belittle the achievements of this programming prodigy who has come up with one of today’s top iOS applications. Yup, that also means that Angry Birds has finally lost its top spot in the App Store, no thanks to eighth grader Robert Nay’s effort in the form of Bubble Ball. Introduced since last month, it has achieve a cool two million downloads, making it the number one free app for iOS devices in the process. Nay relied on the Corona SDK from Ansca Mobile to develop the physics-based puzzle game, while learning the programming language Lua. It took Nay around a month and a half, resulting in over 4,000 lines of code for Bubble Ball. Nay is clearly thinking about this future by working on in-game currency and purchasing options so that he can generate some revenue down the road (to pay for college, we presume). Up his sleeves are also some other classified apps – congrats Nay!
