AirStash

[CES 2011] Wearable Inc. is set to unveil the latest incarnation of AirStash – their wireless streaming thumbdrive that works with iOS devices. Previously it only functioned as a regular wireless media hub that you could only read off with your iPad, AirStash with WebDAV now allows you to write on it using your iOS tablet. This makes it the world’s first and only wireless thumbdrive that works with the iPad. Need to transfer work out of your iPad without an internet connection? No sweat, the AirStash with WebDAV will help you do the job. WebDAV support for the AirStash will come in a firmware update that will be released later this quarter, free for all AirStash owners. While WebDAV is great, it requires the app to support it, if not it won’t work. Fortunately, most apps on the iOS already do so it won’t be much of a problem. Apple Pages, Keynotes and Numbers are some of the Apps that support WebDAV technology – with many more to come in the future. Wearable Inc. will be showing off the AirStash with WebDAV at CES 2011. The device is already available for purchase online in America and Canada at $99 each. It will be made available to retailers and internationally later this year.
