It will still takes *years* for the cable to go away, I've been told

[CES 2011] While plenty of CES exhibitors promote “green” technology, CES is certainly not a green event by any means. There’s a ton of waste, packaging and transportation going on during this (crazy) week. However, I found these bio-degradable cables to be quite interesting, at least, on a conceptual level. They look like ordinary cables, but they are made of corn (among other things) and they should certainly not degrade while you’re using them (!), but if left exposed to rain, sun, bugs and other factor of bio-degradation, these cables should completely go away after 10 years or so (that’s a rough ballpark). Don’t hold your breath for a complete review at Ubergizmo, but this is certainly something that merits a prop. Now the question is the price… which I could not get.
