BlackBerry PlayBook wont have native BBM or email on launchRIM’s popular BlackBerry Messenger service that allows BlackBerry users to message each other easily is one of the attractive features of a BlackBerry. The bad news for BlackBerry PlayBook fans out there is that RIM’s Senior Product Manager Ryan Bidan has stated in a video interview (after the jump) that initially the BlackBerry Messenger, calendar and email functions will need the BlackBerry Bridge pairing feature that shares a BlackBerry phone’s services over Bluetooth. True local access is already on the way, but it doesn’t have a definitive roadmap, so we wouldn’t hold our breath.
