For those who have been eagerly waiting for the Clamcase Bluetooth keyboard for the iPad for months on end, the long wait is nearly over. That’s because the good people at the FCC have finally approved it for use, which more or less makes the case for a planned January 2011 release date even more concrete. As for the rest who are not in the know, the Clamcase is actually an innovating case that will have your iPad sit on it, letting you work it like a notebook thanks to a notebook-like body. Should you not want to make use of the keyboard, just flip the iPad over it, turning the case into a svelte tablet as it was meant to be. Retailing for $119 a pop when it is officially on sale, we do wonder whether accessories such as these will be forwards compatible with the iPad 2 when it arrives.
