Clover Systems intends to carve a name for itself in the computing industry by shipping the first 10″ netbook in the world that comes with a Pixel Qi display, aptly known as the SunBook. No, it isn’t solar-powered by any means, but at least you can rest in the knowledge that you are able to use the netbook in full color mode when it comes to perusing pictures or watching movies right under direct sunlight even after killing off the backlight, letting the SunBook sip very little juice in the process. This will mean you no longer need to fight for the darkest place in the office layout any more – just get the SunBook and start working on your documents even if the sunlight’s shining straight at your netbook’s display. Of course, the Pixel Qi display inside doesn’t come cheap, which means you will have to fork out a handsome $795 for the SunBook, so if you can live with a 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, 1GB RAM and a 250GB hard drive, then do consider giving the SunBook a go.
