After selling Alice in Wonderland, A Christmas Carol and Step Up 3D on Blu-ray 3D during the holiday season, it looks like Disney has decided they’ve tested the format enough to take a plunge into it. They have just announced that they will be converting Lion King and a whole collection of other Disney movies to the Blu-ray 3D format. Initially it was thought that Blu-ray 3D would be meant for movies specifically created for the 3D screen, but from Disney’s list they’ve somehow managed to find a way around it. The movies that will be remastered in Blu-ray include: Bolt, Meet the Robinsons, G-Force, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and many more. Looks like it’s time to toss out those old Blu-ray discs. How many of you have started to collect Blu-ray 3D movies?
