Just because we’re used to getting emails doesn’t mean that we don’t get snail mail anymore, though it’s a lot more troublesome to have to check our mailbox on a regular basis. Someone out there decided that it was too much trouble and came up with a DIY device to let him know when his mailbox had been accessed. The components aren’t too fancy as he started off with a wireless doorbell and some simple circuit and LED lights to get the whole thing working. It might seem a little more troublesome than purchasing a commercial device to monitor your mailbox, but at least you’ll get the satisfaction knowing that it was created by you.
