Isn’t it ironic that Duke Nukem Forever, a sequel to a hit game all those years ago, has finally received a release date? Yes sir, this long awaited next installment of a pretty crude video game is slated to hit the world market this coming May 6th, although folks living Stateside will be able to get their “dose” a couple of days earlier. It seems that the game has already started appearing for pre-order earlier today, and Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford mentioned, “Today I am proud, humbled and even astounded to announce that the day is coming at last for all gamers to be a part of video game history: Duke Nukem Forever will launch worldwide this May!” Already 10 years in the making, we’re pretty sure that die hard fans of the title can afford to wait another 5 months or so. Those rocking to a Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Windows PC will be able to enjoy the fruits of Gearbox Software’s labor when May 2011 rolls around.
