The FCC have managed to get hold of the Acer beTouch E210 smartphone, where this candybar handset might just offer a viable alternative compared to the BlackBerry with its full QWERTY keyboard. Other hardware specifications aren’t all that impressive however, as we are looking at  2.6” QVGA TFT resistive touchscreen display at 320 x 240 resolution, a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor, 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM, a 3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. This seems to be more of an entry level Android smartphone which targets business users – after all, isn’t that what the QWERTY keyboard is for, to churn out those business emails and editing documents on-the-go without the frustration of a virtual keyboard? There is no word on pricing just yet, although we do know it will arrive in the UK on March 11th this year, while a US-bound model will also hit the market via AT&T with support for UMTS 850 and 1900 bands.
