There is a certain bunch of Nexus S smartphone owners who have complained that the handset seems to reboot all by itself randomly ever since they updated the software to Android 2.3.1, where this normally happens whenever one is in the middle of a voice call. Well, it is nice to know that Google is able to replicate the problem now while acknowledging it exists, with a Google engineer replying on a Google Mobile Help Forum, “So we’ve successfully reproduced this issue and are in the process of investigating with Samsung. I’ll provide updates as soon as I have them.” It remains to be seen whether this is a softwre or hardware issue, but whatever the case is, we do hope that a patch can be issued to fix this problem – the sooner the better. One of the perils of being an early adopter, we guess.
