iosafe-rugged[CES 2011] There is always the fear in some of us when it comes to data – we treat it like money, asking ourselves questions like, “Is my data safe tonight? Will someone come and hack my computer, stealing my data? What if there’s a fire, wiping away years’ worth of hard work?” Yeah, all those little gremlins in your head can be put to rest if ioSafe has their way, having the world purchase their Rugged Portable hard drive that comes with Data Recovery Service. The Rugged Portable will come in aluminum HDD and SSD and titanium SSD versions, where the HDD version ($149.99 upwards) can hold anywhere from 250GB to 1TB of storage space, while the titanium SSD version is a toss up between 256GB and 512GB. All versions will play nice with the new USB 3.0 standard, while those who prefer FireWire will have to wait until March this year. To get a better idea on how tough these puppies are, check out their physical security features after the jump.
