Speakers – love them or hate them, there will always be a niche market that has some people hankering for high performance models, while others choose models that deliver the best bang for your buck. The Klang Ultrasonic Speakers are no different, although they clearly look out of this world, being capable of projecting focused sound in one single direction, resulting in audio that only you can hear. Yup, the sound waves generated by the Klang Ultrasonic Speakers remain somewhere in the neighborhood of 30,000 Hz, which is a whole lot higher in terms of pitch where our human ears are concerned. Whenever this high frequency wave interacts with the air, it will break up into a trio of waves, and one of these waves would be normal sound that we can hear, although it will be constrained by another two waves, helping it remain in a focused beam until the beam disperses or something gets in the way – “shooting a narrow beam” of sound in your direction, so to speak. Too bad the Klang speakers remain a concept at the moment, but we do hope that something concrete comes out of it in due time.
