Matrix fanboys all over the world rejoice – Keanu Reeves himself has mentioned he’s being tapped for two new Matrix movies. The new Matrix movies will be ongoing adventures of the aging Neo, and will be direct sequels of the last Matrix movie: Matrix Revolutions. And according to some rumors online, the people in charge of the Matrix films have been talking to James Cameron, which leads to the speculation about the movie being shot and being shown in 3D. Now that’s nothing too farfetched, considering how common 3D movies are nowadays. But if it turns out to be true, this would mark the first ever Matrix movie to be filmed in 3D (with special effects similar or better than Avatar?). No release dates has been mentioned, but expect the Matrix internet forums and discussion boards to reignite as soon as we get a teaser or an official announcement. How does a 4th or 5th Matrix movie sound to you?
