Considering that Meizu is most well known for offering its M8 as an iPhone clone, the company managed to create quite a buzz for its upcoming M9 over in China. While most of you were nursing hangovers from your New Year’s Eve party, the folks over in China were busy forming queues for the M9 at the Shenzhen stores in order to pick up the phone on launch day. It was reported that there were about 60 people lined up outside the stores around 6am with some even crazy enough to brave the cold weather since 8pm the night before. There wasn’t any limit to how many units each person could buy and you’d need to shell out $379 for the 8GB version and $409 for the 16GB version. You can check out a video of the queue without having to head over to China, after the jump.
