[CES 2011] Now for the umpteenth tablet that has hit the CES showfloor, this time around at Showstoppers. The OCS9 is basically the larger version of the OCS1 that we’ve seen earlier, although it does come with more goodies in terms of hardware. There won’t be a 32GB option with this puppy, as it starts off right at 64GB SSD, with a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes as well. What makes this different from the OCS1 would be its 9” display, alongside an external case that comes with each purchase. This case will not only offer protection for your OCS9 against the knocks and bumps that are a norm with your average butterfingers, but it will also hold a touch-sensitive controller accessory.
Touted to hit the market in the third quarter of 2011, we are still in the dark concerning its pricing. Just like the OCS1, it not only carries the tag of “fingerprint magnet” due to the material it is made out of, but it also won’t be cheap simply because of the 64GB SSD option.
We are rather curious about the four buttons located at the bottom of the OCS9, where these are normally buttons that you would find on an Android-powered device, although this puppy runs on Windows 7 Home Premium. Perhaps it is part of a devious plan to mislead potential customers, or a pure mistake on the designer’s part?
