Purchasing third-party accessories for your phone might be a painful process, since you’re not always guaranteed that it will work flawlessly with your phone. RIM has just introduced the Built for BlackBerry program to ensure users that they will be able to easily identify accessories that have been approved by third party manufacturing partners for the BlackBerry smartphones and BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. RIM claims to offer technical, strategic and marketing support to members of the program. Users will be able to identify approved accessories via the Built for BlackBerry logo on the accessory packages. This actually reminds us of Apple’s MFI (Made-for-iPod) program that is already very popular. Check out a video after the jump for more information on this program.
