Now this is rich – just imagine what the Sony PSP2 can do, and then throw in 3G cellular connectivity as well as an OLED touchscreen display into the mix. How would that make you feel? If you haven’t yet changed your pants, then chances are you aren’t a true blue geek. Never mind, as we’re sure that Sony wants to get everyone to have some PSP2 fun, hardcore gamer or not. The supposed January 27th unveiling is just a short while away, and hence the above mentioned features were mentioned by Japan’s Nikkei newspaper. Hopefully the OLED touchscreen display will not be thrown in simply because it wants to be on par to a certain extent with the Nintendo 3DS, but with 3G data from NTT DoCoMo, it will open up a whole new world of multiplayer gaming on the go. One main thing that keeps the PSP2 apart from the PlayStation Phone? It won’t be able to make calls, but then again you’re too busy saving the world from aliens to keep in touch with your family and friends.
