The Daily iPad newspaper to be launched on Feb 2nd There have been rumors and delays to Apple and News Corp’s The Daily iPad-only newspaper but now the official invites have been sent out and the app will be launched on the 2^nd of February, which is just a few days away. News Corp CEO Rupert Murdoch and Apple’s VP of Internet Services, Eddy Cue will be on hand, and despite a lack of additional information on the invite, we know that The Daily will be a subscription-based newspaper that was developed by Apple and News Corp with hopes of making the iPad a more desirable magazine and newspaper reader, since magazine and newspaper apps currently struggle to do well. Let’s see what the event will bring us next Wednesday, so stay tuned!

iPad: the iPad is Apple's tablet computer. While not "invented" by Apple (the newton was arguably a PDA), the iPad has re-ignited the tablet format as it appeared at the right time, with the right hardware and apps. the first iPad was launched on April 2010. It was followed by the iPad 2 in March 2011 and a new iPad (gen 3) in 2012.
