Verizon Wireless has just confirmed that its 4G LTE modems will finally ship with Mac support when February rolls around. The two modems in question would be one from LTE while the other is from Pantech – and both of them caused quite the ruckus when first unveiled as they supported only Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. Well, this will no longer be the case when February 2011 rolls around, thanks to Mac support being thrown into the mix. Of course, there is also an available hack that allows your Pantech USB modem to work with an OS X-powered machine. Again, this goes to show that being an early adopter does have its fair share of advantages and disadvantages, with the latter being the case this time around.
