Verizon will be offering owners of their upcoming CDMA iPhone a $30 unlimited data plan, according to the company’s chief operating officer, Lowell McAdam. After all, to offer something as hot as the iPhone and not deliver it with an unlimited data plan is somewhat akin to shooting yourself in the foot – and to put it in layman’s parlance, that might mean purchasing a Ferrari but limiting its speed to just 10mph at most. We do know that anticipation for the Verizon-branded CDMA iPhone was one of the reasons behind the lack of sales in the fourth quarter of 2010, so analysts and book keepers should take note of what their Q1 2011 performance figures will look like when the 3G-enabled iPhone 4 from Verizon becomes available to the mass market!
