Verizon subscribers out there might want to take note. Word is going around that the carrier is offering free Network Extenders. Users are reporting that they’ve received text messages and those who responded to it claim that the extender is already on the way. It’s been said that Verizon is sending out those text messages to folks in low-coverage areas and you’ll only be able to enjoy the promotion if the text message was sent to your mobile phone, so you probably wouldn’t want to try calling the phone number pictured here. Some folks say that the number has been disconnected while others claim they’ve been waiting on the line for up to an hour only to be turned away.
