Verizon Samsung Fascinate haven’t gotten FroYo love yet

For Verizon Wireless subscribers who are rocking to the Samsung Fascinate, the coming Over The Air update from the mobile carrier will be a bittersweet experience – we’re talking about the i500.DL09 update which will be hitting Verizon’s offering of the Samsung Galaxy S in the coming days. This software update will not dance to the tune of Android 2.2 FroYo, but will instead offer updated versions of preloaded applications, where among the improvements will include better stand-alone GPS performance, increased security by making sure your 3G Mobile Hotspot password remains hidden while typing, the ability to open just about any PDF attachments that are sent via email, and the ability to use special characters where corporate email passwords are concerned.
