Verizon Wireless charges $20 monthly for iPhone hotspot Are you planning to take the big jump over to Verizon Wireless just to take advantage of a CDMA iPhone 4? Well, assuming you don’t mind taking the plunge, you can also fork out another $20 monthly to use your iPhone 4 as a wireless hotspot – at least that is what Brenda Raney, executive director of corporate communications, mentioned. Good thing it isn’t more expensive than what Verizon smartphone owners pay for tethering, so it ends up all good in the end. With this capability, the iPhone 4 will be able to connect up to five different devices, although we wouldn’t recommend streaming of videos and audio files since your monthly allotment is just 2GB – a pittance in this day and age. If you get all download/streaming-happy, then do take note that every GB over the limit will set you back by another $20.
