
Verizon Wireless knows full well that smartphones these days tend to have voracious appetite for data, and with some of these newer handsets riding on the 4G wave, a new tier of data plans ought to be introduced or revamped. In the same vein, Verizon Wireless will be axing their 150MB data plan at $15 monthly for smartphones, leading them to a $30 unlimited option instead. Of course, the $9.99 25MB feature phone data option will also be getting an upgrade of sources, tripling its data amount in the proces. Of course, the eagle-eyed among you who spotted the leaked image above will see that the $30 unlimited plan will apply to feature phones and 3G smartphones, so we are wondering what the upcoming handsets that will be announced at Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona going to cost you in terms of data plans over at Verizon as they will be 4G handsets.
