[MWC 2011] Acer intends to light up MWC 2011 in Barcelona by introducing its 10.1″ tablet device known as the Iconia Tab A500, where it will be powered by Google’s latest Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system. This sleek and smart device will have a dual-core Nivida Tegra 2 chip running proceedings from within, where it ought to make short work of multi-tasking. Apart from that, its 10.1″ high definition WXGA display allows you to surf the Internet in greater clarity while viewing HD videos is a snap. If you’re not too happy, you can always send videos over to a HDTV via its HDMI output. Other hardware specifications include a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a front-facing HD lens, Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity, and support for Flash 10.1. There is no word on pricing details just yet, but we do know it will hit the market this April. The tablet market looks set to be pretty tough this year with so many additions – we’re stoked to see who is the winner when the dust settles.
