If you’re on a particularly tight budget and would love to own a tablet without breaking the bank, then might we suggest you check out the Arnova 10? This 10.1″ device will be powered by the Android operating system – although even then, different models will offer various versions of Android. The RK2818 chipset powered model is running on Android 2.1 Eclair, while those who prefer Gingerbread will have to look out for the RK2918 version that hits the streets this April. As for Honeycomb, that greatly depends on what Google and Rockchip work out together. At just $199 a pop, this might very well be one of the world’s cheapest ARM Cortex-A8 1Ghz RK2918 powered devices in the market, although those living across the pond will have to fork out the equivalent figure in €. Sporting 4GB of storage space that can be expanded via a microSD memory card, you will get support for the most popular audio and video formats, USB 2.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity, a VGA camera and up to 6 hours of video playback on a full charge. Sounds like a decent addition to any tablet collector. A video of the Arnova 10 in action is available after the jump.
