AT&T has just announced the HTC Freestyle that boasts of the distinction of being the first device from the carrier that is based on the Brew Mobile platform. Touted to arrive via AT&T a day before Valentine’s Day without breaking the bank ($99.99), this price will only be available when it comes with a $50 mail-in rebate and a two-year agreement. While the Brew Mobile OS does seem to be workable at this moment, it does resemble the Android platform at times. Hardware-wise, it comes with a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a 3.2-megapixel camera with video recording capability, Stereo Bluetooth connectivity, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSD memory card slot. We are not too sure just how the HTC Freestyle will work out in the market eventually, so we will just have to play the waiting game.
