Audi certainly wants to make their line of luxury vehicles smarter, and this time around we have the Audi Connect, which is currently available in three of its cars – the A6, A7 and super luxurious A8. If you own any of those three sweet rides, you do have the option to part with more cash in exchange for an UMTS modem that will do its bit in downloading online applications for in-car use. Not only that, Audi engineers also think that LTE (Long Term Evolution) is the future, and has started to collaborate with Alcatel-Lucent to deliver faster LTE connectivity by the time 2014 rolls around. Apart from that, Audi is tipped to introduce live traffic data and voice commands sometime this summer, allowing it to gain control of a suite of Google services to boot. Would this make you want to drive off with an Audi instead of a Benz or BMW the next time around?
