The minimum system requirements to run Crytek’s upcoming FPS game, Crysis 2, have been revealed and no surprise – they match the recommended system requirements for the first Crysis. You might think this isn’t a big deal, but take into account that this is the minimum requirement to run the game. Minimum probably means all the special effects turned off, low-res textures being used and so on. Would you really bother playing a game that you can’t fully experience? Hit the break to check out the system requirements of the game:
Crysis 2 minimum system requirements:
- Internet connection to play the game to install and get online
- OS: XP / Vista / Windows 7
- CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2 GHz, AMD Athlon 64 X2 2 GHz or higher
- GPU : Nvidia 8800 GT 512 MB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 3850 512 MB of RAM or better
- 2 GB RAM
- Hard Drive: 9 GB
- DVD ROM: 8x
- Audio: DirectX 9.0c compatible
- Keyboard, Mouse or Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller for Windows
And for comparison, here are the minimum requirements for the original Crysis:
- 2.8 GHz or XP, CPU 3.2 GHz for Vista (in this case referred to a single-core processor)
- 1 RAM GB XP, 1.5 GB for Windows Vista
- A graphics card with 256 MB VRAM MB and Shader Model 3 support
Recommended:
- Windows XP or Windows Vista
- Athlon X2 4400 + or Core 2 Duo (2.2 GHz)
- 2 RAM GB
- 8800GTS 640MB, GF8800GT or more
I’d hate to think what the recommended requirements for Crysis 2 are going to be!
