Froyo officially arrives for AT&T Samsung Captivate tomorrow

After last week’s fiasco of posting up the Samsung Captivate Android 2.2 (Froyo) update and then retracting it, it looks like AT&T are now ready to serve to their customers a helping of Froyo again. According to an update posted on their Facebook page, AT&T will be rolling out the official Android 2.2 update for the Samsung Captivate phone starting tomorrow. They’ve also posted instructions on how to update your phone on their Facebook page as well. If you’re a Samsung Captivate user (who hasn’t updated the phone yourself) head there for the instructions and sit tight for one more day.

Android: Android is the mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. Samsung: Samsung is a South-Korean conglomerate which counts many subsidiaries like Samsung Electronics, which you probably know very well, but also Samsung Heavy Industries which builds ships, or Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung Securities and many more. In the consumer electronics world, Samsung has gone from being a company with a reputation for cheap products to becoming one of the most respected companies in the world.
