Sanjay JhaAt the Mobile World Congress today, when Motorola’s CEO Sanjay Jha was discussing the Motorola Xoom’s price, he let slip that Google Music will be launching together with the tablet. The Motorola Xoom will be the first tablet to feature Android 3.0 (Honeycomb), the latest version of Android that has been optimized just for tablets. Google’s music service has been talked about for quite awhile now, and while there haven’t been any official announcements from Google about when the service will arrive, it has been rumored that Google was struggling to get the licensing rights worked out but if what Sanjay Jha says is true, it looks like they’ve managed to work things out. Google’s Music service is supposed to be a cloud-based music streaming service where users store their music collections online so they can listen to the music anywhere, anytime they want from their mobile devices. We’ll keep you posted once we find out more details.
