Just a couple of weeks after IE9 Release Candidate was announced to the world, it has already hit 2 million downloads. According to Roger Capriotti, director of Internet Explorer Product Marketing, “We continue to be humbled by the enthusiasm and uptake of IE9.” For folks who are still relying on IE9 beta to get their Internet surfing fix, they can expect to replace that version with the RC this month – never mind if it comes in the form of a manual download. This release candidate will feature the Tracking Protection feature, coupled with several user interface tweaks, additional support for the emerging HTML5 Web standard, as well as faster performance on standard benchmarks.
