MapQuest

MapQuest has just released their map and navigation app for the Android operating system. So for those of you who are looking for a free alternative to Google Maps – MapQuest is just for you. It makes use of OpenStreetMap – maps that can be edited and updated by users anywhere, all the time. In addition to letting you know where you are, MapQuest can get you where you want to be with its free turn-by-turn navigation with voice guidance whether you’re driving or walking. It also has voice search and live traffic updates to ensure you a pleasant drive to where you’re going. If your phone is running on at least Android 1.6, you can head over to the Android Market to download it for free.
