Motorola Xoom to get Flash not long after launch

After yesterday’s bad news about the Motorola Xoom not getting Flash at launch, Adobe has quickly announced that they the delay for Flash on the Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) tablet won’t be too long. According to a statement they recently made: “Adobe will offer Flash Player 10.2 pre-installed on some tablets..and as an OTA download on others within a few weeks of Android 3 (Honeycomb) devices becoming available, the first of which is expected to be the Motorola Xoom.” The Adobe Flash 10.2 player will rolled out as an over the air update within a few weeks of the tablet’s arrival. So if Adobe keeps their promise, it shouldn’t be an unbearable wait for Flash to arrive. How important is having Flash to you? Would you purchase the $800 Xoom knowing that you would have to wait for an OTA update in order to get Flash?
