Robot to receive own Internet in the future known as RoboEarthIsn’t this one of the more convenient ways of your worst nightmare coming true – robots getting their own version of the Internet and with it, a “Wikipedia” of sorts that allows robots to share and store what they have discovered around them. This ambitious project by European scientists is known as RoboEarth, where it will have robots upload data to when they master a task, while asking around for help when carrying out new ones. Will this help robots to come into service more quickly that are already well trained with an ever evolving library of knowledge concerning humanity around them? What happens if they become sentient and start to key in their own observations through their robotic eyes – will they pull off a robotic revolution like Skynet?
